A Love Story

A Story Of Dreaming And Dwelling On Love…

There were stories to be told,

And secrets to be shared,

Lying under the starry sky,

With our backs on the dew kissed grass.

The sky stood starry & the grass - green and moist,

But we never happened.

Yet I emailed the stories, the secrets,

That were meant for her and her alone.

There were to be coffee dates - cute & cozy,

Conversations over crunchy cookies,

With laughter and cups filled to the brim.

But distances grew and the dates never happened.

Yet we had long FaceTime calls,

With smiles and coffee cups to go with it all.

There was a wish to make her my girl,

To be kissed and hugged,

With a love so pure, so soft.

But my courage ran out,

Before I could ask her out.

The kisses and hugs melted away,

When she tossed her head and waved a Goodbye.

Yet the love remained strong and forever was to last.

The kisses and hugs became emojis and words,

That were still sent to her.

Thus ran the story of my love,

A part in my dreams,

And a part across the screen.

Yet the love for her is still whole,

And will forever be so.

They say and I agree,

That the glass is half full.

So, what if she is miles away,

The cyberspace takes me to her

In the swipe of my fingertip.
